Reports reaching Mouthpiece NGR news room says a middle aged man identified as Kehinde Awosusi on Sunday evening allegedly murdered a motorcyclist believed to be an official of newly formed Amotekun Corps.
The incident occurred in Erijiyan Ekiti, in Ekiti West Local Government area of Ekiti state.
According to Roundoffnews, some youths of the community who were angered by the development went on rampage destroying houses and attacking innocent people.
People of the community were seen running helter skelter to scamper for safety.
Mouthpiece NGR gathered that trouble erupted after the deceased who was riding a motorcycle slightly hit a woman at Erijiyan.
The motorcyclist stopped to assist the victim but she insisted on calling her son on the phone to notify him about the incident.
On getting to the spot the woman son (Kehinde Awosusi) out of anger allegedly hit the motorcyclist with a heavy stick on his head.
The man suspected to be a member of the Western Nigeria Security Network code named “Amotekun” was drenched in blood and gave up while he was being rushed to the hospital.
The alleged murderer and his mother have been arrested by the police for further investigation, Mouthpiece NGR gathered.
