Following the recent Rivers State House of Assembly saga leading to the move for the impeachment of Governor Siminialayi Fubara, 24 members out of the 32 members of Assembly have signed a document to impeach the Governor.
According to reports, the decision was taken at an emergency sitting by the lawmakers today.
ROUNDOFFNEWS recalled that, the impeachment notice was served on Governor after impeaching and suspending the House Leader, Edison Ehie for allegedly taking the Governor’s side.
Reacting this, the Governor noted that, the ‘rubbish’ impeachment process will not stand.
